Type of vehicle(s) to be operated -- GVWR of less than 10,000 pounds
Motor carrier will only operate trucks that have a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of less than 10,000 pounds each.
Requirement: For-Hire motor carriers operating vehicles with GVWRs of under 10,000 pounds must carry public liability insurance of $300,000.
For-Hire motor carriers operating vehicles with GVWRs of under 10,000 pounds that transport explosives, poisonous gas or highway-route-controlled quantities of radioactive materials need to have public liability insurance of at least $5,000,000.
